The
Full Service Package - six steps to help you keep an "eyeontheplace":
1. Site survey
As soon as you tell us that you are interested in having an "eyeontheplace", we will arrange a visit to your house or business premises. During this visit, our friendly staff will discuss what you are aiming to get out of our service, and give professional advice on what is and what is not possible. We will never "pull the wool over your eyes" - if we think that your requirements cannot be met, we will say so. We will look for suitable locations for cameras and cabling, and we will advise on bandwidth usage and issues if the camera equipment is being connected to an existing computer network.
2. Equipment selection
If step 1 was a success, we will discuss your requirements and help you to
choose equipment that best meets your needs. There is almost always a trade-off between camera features and price - we try to advise where it is sensible to save money, and where it is not.
We will always try to give you realistic expectations of what each class of camera is capable of. At the end of this step, we should have agreed what equipment is best for you, taking everything into account, and at this stage we will also agree an installation date.
3. Equipment configuration and workbench testing
Before we come to install the equipment, a lot of work has to be done behind the scenes. We obtain the equipment, and then spend quite some time configuring it to best meet your needs as discovered during the site visit. During this phase we will also set up your own customised web
pages, where you will access the camera across the internet. Finally during this stage, we will set up the equipment in the lab and check that it is functioning correctly and that the configuration is correct.
4. Installation & Training
Once we are satisfied that everything is in order, we will come back to see you and install the equipment and any cabling that is needed.
We will also configure the motion detection functions according to your property
layout and your alert requirements. We will then undertake a testing programme to make sure that everything is working properly.
As part of this step we will provide the small amount of training that you will need to operate the camera software, if you are present. If you cannot be present at the time of installation, you will have access to the on-line help pages on our website, and to our support staff via telephone and email, which brings us on to the next subject.
5.
The Monitoring Service
We are delighted to provide this valuable
service when you buy our Full Service Package. You get your own web pages
where you can view triggered images from your camera, together with alerts by
email and text message. Please click the link to see
full details of The
Monitoring Service.
6. Support & maintenance
We take the subject of providing help and support to our customers more seriously than most - this is what really makes us different. When you become an "eyeontheplace"
Full Service customer, as part of our package we provide support by phone and
email. We do not man a help desk around the clock, but we have a clearly laid out Service Level Agreement that shows you exactly what you can expect from us. Your equipment will benefit from manufacturers' guarantees during this period too.
At the start of "year 2" you have the option of a cost-effective annual site visit during which we will carry out a full check on your equipment and cabling, looking for damage or wear & tear, and cleaning lens etc. as necessary. We will, of course, advise you of any problems that need to be dealt with.
